A trekking permit is required to trek in any part of Nepal. If you want to trek two areas, you will need two permits. Each permit requires details for the route and region. Note: * Through registered trekking agencies only. Permit fees are quoted in US$ but payable in Nepali Rupees Trekking Permits will not be extended past your Visa Expiry Date 2 Passport photos required
National Park Fees Fourteen areas of Nepal have been designated National Parks, Wildlife Reserve and Conservation Areas (no one speaks about the Hunting Reserve). To trek in any of these areas, you may need an additional permit. Annapurna Region (Conservation area) have to pay a fee of Rs. 3000 (Include tax) which is payable at the Information and Entry Fee Collection Counter of Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), The toll is utilized for environment conservation and maintenance of the areas . For Everest (National park) and Langtang(National Park) trek per person Nepali rupees 3000 +13 % tax.And Nepali Rupees 1695 per person for Indian National with SAARC countries.
TIMS permits: Group trekkers will have to obtain Blue TIMS cards by paying a fee of Rs. 1000 per person , while free individual trekkers (FITs) have to get Green cards by paying a fee of Rs. 2000 . Similarly , group trekkers from SAARC coutries have to pay RS. 300 for TIMS cards, while FITs from SAARC region have to pay Rs. 600 each.
Restricted areas which have been opened for Group Trekking The following restricted areas are open only for group trekkers. And a trekking permit will not be issued to individual trekkers for such areas. The areas and required fees are as follows: Trekking Permit Fee for Dolpo region a) Areas of lower Dolpa Dolpa district Per week per person US$ 10 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
b) Areas of Upper Dolpa For the first 10 days per person US $500 and After 10 days per day per person Us$50
Taplejung District Per week per person US$ 10 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency. Kanchanjanga Region
(Areas of Olangchunggola, Lelep, Papung and Yamphudin Village Development Committee) Upper Mustang region i) Mustang district. (Upper Mustang)For the first 10 days per person US $500 and After 10 days per day per person Us$50. Gorkha District region iv) Gorkha District:From September to November per week per person US$ 70 and After 7 days per day per person US$ 10.and From December to August per week per person US$ 50 and After 7 days per day per person US$ 7 /Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
Manaslu Area Chhekampar & Chumchet VDC(Sirdibas-Lokpa-Cumling-Chhekampar-Nile-Chhule Area)From September to November per person US$35 for first 8 days and from December to August per person US$25 for first 8 days or equivalent convertible foreign currency. Dolakha District (Gauri Shankar & Lamabagar) Per week per person US$ 10 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
Humla District (Simikot and Yari):-For the first 7 days per person US$ 50 and After 7 days per day per person US$ 7 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
Areas of Limi and Muchu village Development Committee, and area way to Tibet via Tangekhola of Darma Village Development committee. Trekking fee of other restricted areas imposed by Nepal government Rasuwa District :- Thuman and Timureper week per person US$ 10, Or equivalent convertible foreign currency. Sankhuwasabha District For the first 4 weeks per week per person US$ 10 and After 4 weeks per week per person US$ 20, Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
Makalu Region:-Areas of Kimathanka, Chepuwa,Hatiya and Pawakhola Village Development Committee. Solukhumbu District For the first 4 weeks per week per person US$ 10 and After 4 weeks per week per person US$ 20, Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
Everest Region:-All north- west area way from Thame to Nangpala of Namche Village Development Committee Manang District:- Areas of Nar, Phu, and Northern area of Tilche Village of Thochhe Village Development CommitteeFrom September to November per week per person US$ 90 and December to August per week per person US$ 75 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency. Mugu District:- Areas of Mugu, Dolpu, Pulu and Bhangri.For the first 7 days per person US $90 and After 7 days per day per person Us$15 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.. Baihang District:-Areas of Kanda, Saipal, Dhuli.For the first 7 days per person US $90 and After 7 days per day per person Us$15 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.. Darchula District:- Areas of Byas Village Development Committee.For the first 7 days per person US $90 and After 7 days per day per person Us$15 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.. Note: Trekking fee can be paid in Nepalese currency: Notwithstanding anything written in above, the Indian citizen can pay in Nepalese currency equivalent to US Dollars.
